The historic place and famous for selling the convent sweets of Amarante - the Lérias - Today opens its doors as a tourism property.

“Casa das Lérias” is the result of a 7 million euros investment.

Located on the margins of the Tâmega River and at the beginning of one of the main arteries of the city centre, the avant-garde building offers ample outdoor space, a harmonious and relaxed interior, ideal for those looking for a service with modern amenities  that combine comfort and elegance.

The 23 rooms, available in Deluxe, Duplex, Single and Superior types, reflect a clean design in shades of grey, brown, white and green, bringing an ecological concern, combined with a minimalist lifestyle.

Casa das Lérias also provides a unique and privileged view of the Tâmega river. The dining area, Casa das Lérias Café & Bar, has a panoramic terrace overlooking the garden and the outdoor swimming pool and will be the chosen spot for those looking for quality service in an idyllic space, where traditional sweets will be present. Ace Hospitality Management (AHM) will manage the hotel.

“Casa das Lérias is another achievement for Mercan Properties, which has shown itself to be resilient at a time of great economic uncertainty and which continues to bet securely on Portugal, demonstrating its confidence in the country's tourism potential.

In addition, we know the importance that these projects have in creating jobs, in the case of this project we have created 12 new jobs and we are going to increase the tourist offer of Amarante with a quality product that preserves the city's tradition.

As in all our projects, we combine the tradition of the local with the quality and modernity that characterizes us. This is Mercan Properties' second project to open its doors in 2021.”
