The restaurant at Casa da Companhia, in Porto, has unveiled a new menu created by Chef Pedro Garrido. This gastronomic offering takes diners on a journey through Portugal from north to south, reinterpreting culinary traditions with technique and memory. Designed for sharing, the new menu features reinvented versions of classic dishes and island-inspired flavors.

Located on Rua das Flores, the restaurant of the boutique hotel Casa da Companhia presents a menu that explores the diverse geographies and culinary traditions of Portugal. Curated by Chef Pedro Garrido, the menu focuses on the origins of flavors and the stories behind them.

With influences ranging from the mountains of the interior to the coastline and the islands, the menu includes starters like Tomato soup with poached egg and mint (€6), and a mini Alheira burger with apple sauce and vegetables (€12). Salt cod appears in the form of "Meia desfeita" (€16), served with mashed chickpeas and chickpea crisps.

Among the shareable dishes, highlights include the Madeiran-style minced beef (€19), made with beef shank, and fried cuttlefish (€15), in a thin and crispy version. Main courses include reinterpretations like gluten-free Bacalhau à Narcisa (€16), swordfish with plantain and passion fruit (€25), and Alentejo-style pork with corn porridge (xarém) (€26).

The Bife à Marrare (€24) follows the classic Lisbon recipe and is served with thin-cut fries and a fried egg. Vegetarian options include a black bean burger with salad (€19) and an asparagus and sun-dried tomato risotto (€21).

For dessert, Portuguese sweet traditions take on new forms: pineapple carpaccio with pink peppercorns (€8), “Toucinho do céu” with strawberry compote (€8), and a reinvented Brisa de Liz in the form of a lime granita with brandy (€8) round off the meal with contrasting and seasonal elements.
