The Braga-based dstgroup is currently building two new hotels for Mercan Properties at Lagos Marina, in the Algarve, as part of a €108 million investment.

According to dstgroup, construction works, which began in 2024, are progressing at a good pace. The main structural elements are now almost complete, and the buildings are starting to take shape in terms of interior works and finishing. The group also revealed that two full-scale prototype model rooms have already been completed and presented to the client, a key step to ensure technical, functional, and aesthetic alignment ahead of final production.

dstgroup further notes that this is a project distinguished by its architectural sophistication, technical complexity, and integration into the surrounding territory. The development also highlights the group’s execution capabilities, supported by partner companies within the dstgroup ecosystem, namely dte, bim+ and lyrical.

As previously reported by O MINHO, dstgroup is responsible for the construction of two Hilton-branded hotels at Lagos Marina. The project is expected to create 188 jobs and represents an overall investment of approximately €108 million.

One of the hotels will operate under the Curio Collection by Hilton, a five-star property with 180 rooms distributed across four floors, covering a total area of 15,000 square meters. Amenities will include a restaurant, two bars—one of which will be located on a rooftop with an infinity pool—a second swimming pool at ground level, a spa, and fitness facilities.

The second hotel will be a four-star Hilton Garden Inn, featuring 90 rooms, including 27 suites with kitchenettes, across a total area of 7,500 square meters. This property will also include a bar, restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, and gym.
