Broadway’s Brunch Celebrates Carnival With a Brazilian Flair and Activities For Children

Inspired by the festive, joyful, and contagious spirit of Brazilian Carnival, Broadway’s Brunch promises to bring the flavors, textures, and comfort of Brazilian recipes to the table, in a brunch that moves to the rhythm of a leisurely lunch. On Sunday, February 15, the difficulty of choosing begins at the bakery and pastry station, which remains a must-stop, with highlights ranging from the irresistible pão de queijo to the French croissant, along with a selection of cheeses and cured meats and rosemary and sun-dried tomato focaccia or chicken wings.

Next come the salads, ranging from more classic options to more exotic combinations, such as cucumber, pineapple, lime, and mint, or hearts of palm salad with cherry tomatoes and cilantro. Before the hot dishes, there is also room for fruit and yogurt bowls, which invite creativity by allowing personalized mixes with a wide variety of cereals, granolas, seeds, nuts, fresh fruit, and jams.

At the table dedicated to warmer, more comforting recipes, the suggestions include country-style soup, Brazilian feijoada, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, mushrooms, or potato rösti.

Brazil extends to the station where guests can prepare their tapioca on the spot, choosing from a wide range of fillings that go from the classic banana with sweetened condensed milk to guava paste and queijo coalho, as well as shredded coconut or cold cuts.
