Sins & Rio: Carnival Rhythms Take Over Mercan Restaurants

This Carnival, Mercan restaurants turn up the tempo with themed menus, live performances, and music that keeps the celebration going ’til late. From indulgent “sins” to Brazilian-inspired flavors, masks, and a touch of magic, expect a night that’s bold, elegant, and unforgettable.

A Night of Mystery and Illusion at Café Arts

On February 16, Café Arts celebrates Carnival with a sophisticated evening inspired by Venetian charm. Surrounded by velvet, candlelight, and enigmatic details, guests will be delighted by an illusionist performing throughout dinner, alongside a themed menu designed to make the experience even more special. It’s an elegant, immersive celebration—full of magic.

During dinner, you’ll also be able to watch the illusionist’s performance, bringing moments of wonder and surprise that make the night even more engaging. Complementing this unique atmosphere, Café Arts will present its wide culinary offering, adapted into a themed menu specially created for the occasion.

Sins & Disguises at Blss.U Carnival

On February 16 (Carnival Eve), starting at 8:30 PM—’til late, Blss.U turns into a celebration stage where cuisine, music, and performance come together for a sensory journey right in the heart of the city.

Dinner is served as a roaming experience, allowing guests to move freely between different food stations, explore tropical cocktails, and mingle with performers and dancers in a Rio Edition style, all set to a DJ set dedicated to Brazilian music.

The phrase “’til late” is part of Blss.U’s recent strategic communication and means exactly that: there’s no set end time. The night continues for as long as there’s energy, rhythm, and the desire to celebrate.

The Brazilian-inspired buffet is organized around the “sins” of Carnival and includes options such as tapioca with sweet chili and a skewer of cheese, rabbit, and bacon for Pride; coxinhas, mini cheese breads, and grilled skewers for Gluttony; breaded shrimp with chimichurri and lupin bean hummus for Wrath; shrimp tartelettes and ceviche for Lust; churros and brigadeiros for Envy; and quindim for Sloth.
