When the Lights Go Down, Fado Will Take Over Chaparro Alentejano

For one night, Chaparro Alentejano will be filled with the kind of silence that only exists when something truly moving is about to begin. That's how a Fado night sounds.

On February 28 at 8pm, the restaurant at Holiday Inn Beja hosts another intimate edition of “Fados no Chaparro Alentejano,” where Portugal’s most soulful music is the main event. As tradition calls, the stage belongs to the unmistakable voice of Carlos Filipe, joined this time by special guest Sofia Pires - a pairing made for goosebumps.

The atmosphere will be carried even further by the mastery of Bruno Mira on Portuguese guitar and Carlos Soares da Silva on viola, creating a live soundtrack that feels both timeless and intensely personal. To match the mood, itwill also be served a specially designed menu: comforting, heartwarming, and made for lingering at the table.

Guests will start with a classic Alentejo-style welcome for the table - bread, olives, and roasted linguiça - followed by a traditional starter: fried cuttlefish with “tomatada” (a slow-cooked tomato stew). For the main course, you can choose one of three main courses: Bacalhau à Moda da Maria, Black Pork Cheek in a Red Wine Reduction, or a vegetarian option, Spinach Açorda with a Poached Egg. The experience is priced at €43 per person, with drinks included.

Seats are limited. Don't miss this unique evening and make your reservation.
